This video can be used to help students understand the concept of grit/resilience.  Instead of just showing this to my students, I had them (try to) count the number of times the mouse was unsuccessful in its attempts.  After talking about this and reflecting on how many times we continue to try after unsuccessfully attempting something, we then rewatched the video to observe that the mouse seems to reassess and change its strategy.   The mouse then succeeds!

I think it’s extremely important that students understand that grit/resilience isn’t often about just trying, trying, and trying again, but rather there is a sense of reflection, evaluation, and trying different strategies, often by tapping into already available resources.

Hope some of you can use this in your classroom!
